Angela is a solicitor and partner in our family department, specialising in private law children matters and cases involving domestic abuse. With over two decades of experience in family law, she supports clients through some of the most sensitive and challenging periods of their lives.
Angela qualified as a solicitor in September 2005 and joined Wolferstans in 2015, bringing with her a wealth of experience in complex children work. She is accredited by Resolution as a specialist in Private Law Children and Domestic Abuse and is a committed member of the organisation, promoting constructive and non‑confrontational approaches to resolving family disputes.
Additionally, she is a member of the Law Society and is widely recognised for her ability to guide clients through highly sensitive and complex family matters with clarity and compassion.
Throughout her career, Angela has acted in a wide range of children cases, many involving serious allegations of domestic abuse. She has substantial experience preparing and presenting cases for fact‑finding hearings and has represented clients in matters with international elements as well as proceedings before the High Court. Her work includes acting for parents, grandparents and extended family members, often in urgent circumstances, such as following the sudden death of a parent where a child has been left without someone holding parental responsibility.
Angela has advised in cases involving disputes about medical treatment, applications to relocate children abroad, and situations where concerns have been raised about a parent’s ability to provide safe or appropriate care. She has significant experience securing protective measures for clients and children affected by domestic abuse to ensure their safety and wellbeing.
In addition to her client work, Angela supervises Private Law Children work within her department, ensuring consistently high standards of support and representation. She frequently appears at court hearings and is known for her clear, compassionate and pragmatic approach, always focused on achieving the best possible outcomes for families and children.
