Emily is a paralegal in the medical negligence claims department at Wolferstans, assisting Partner Holly Bowditch on complex, high-value claims and has particular expertise in dealing with catastrophic cases.
Emily joined Wolferstans as a Med-Law student while studying at Plymouth University, where she completed her degree in Law and Criminal Justice Studies in 2022. Following graduation, she commenced her full-time legal career in the Medical Negligence team.
Known for her meticulous approach and compassionate client care, Emily is committed to ensuring that clients receive the compensation they deserve. She works alongside leading medical experts and barristers to thoroughly investigate claims and deliver successful outcomes.
During her time at university, Emily was elected as Student Representative for two consecutive years, an experience that helped her develop strong communication and leadership skills. She continues to support the community through her work as an Appropriate Adult, at the National Appropriate Adult Network, for individuals with learning difficulties and vulnerable women reporting violent crimes. She also mentors law students aspiring to enter the legal profession at the University of Plymouth.
Emily is a passionate advocate for women’s health and care within the NHS and has successfully contributed to a £27 million cerebral palsy claim, among other notable cases.
Outside of work, Emily enjoys reading, pottery, and travelling.
