Mara joined Wolferstans in May 2018 as a New Client Coordinator and was promoted to Paralegal in August 2020, where she works within the Employment and Education team. More recently, Mara transitioned to the role of HR Advisor within the team, utilising her CIPD qualification and further expanding her expertise in Employment Law and Human Resources.
Based in the Plymouth Branch, Mara provides practical HR advice and support to schools, academies, and businesses on a range of employment matters. This includes managing absence, conducting investigations, and handling disciplinary and grievance hearings and procedures, as well as advising clients on best practices and ensuring fair and consistent processes are followed.
With a background in Business Management and a CIPD Level 3 Diploma in Human Resource Practice, Mara is committed to continuous professional development, staying informed on the latest trends in HR and Employment Law.
Outside of work, Mara enjoys traveling, exploring new cultures, and taking leisurely walks. She is fluent in Portuguese and is currently improving her Spanish skills.
