What will you do?

Our existing Management and HR Team are looking for specialist support to manage the firms’ learning and development programme. Working alongside the HR Manager, your flexible and adaptable approach will make you a key player where you can influence talent development aligned with the firm’s agenda of growth through exceptional legal experiences. You will manage the performance review system including the quality of objective setting and review outcomes to identify opportunities to support all employees in reaching their full potential. You will manage the internal promotion system. You will support the career pathways of those rising through the firm and those who have found their niche. You will consider the strategic objectives of the firm and ensure that a culture of high performance is achieved in line with those objectives. You will assist with attracting a pipeline of talent into the firm, understanding and applying best practice use of the available apprenticeship, SQE and widening qualification opportunities into the legal profession.

The role will also include promoting the firm’s wellbeing agenda, signposting where appropriate, along with obtaining wellbeing and similar employer of choice awards.

You will be based at our offices on North Hill with potential to work from home part of the week subject to training and business need. There will be times when you could be expected to support members of the team at our branch offices in Plympton and Plymstock.

What do you offer?

You will ideally have experience of working in a similar role and will either hold CIPD Learning and Development or ILM Coaching or Mentoring qualifications to enable you to deliver hands-on learning and development sessions either as a group or on a 1-2-1 basis.

You will be a qualified Mental Health First Aider and either already be, or happy to qualify as a Mental Health Instructor.
