What will you do?

The Marketing & Business Development Executive plays a key role in supporting the firms’ growth strategy by driving marketing initiatives, enhancing brand presence, and assisting in business development activities. This role involves working closely with lawyers, partners, and the wider Marketing and Business Development Team to develop campaigns, manage client relationships, and identify new opportunities to position the firm effectively in the market.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing & Communications:

  • Assist in the planning and execution of marketing campaigns to promote the firms’ services and expertise.
  • Create and manage content for digital marketing, including website updates, social media posts, newsletters, PDF brochures, and thought leadership articles.
  • Support the firm’s social media strategy, ensuring engagement and brand consistency across LinkedIn and other relevant platforms.
  • Work with external agencies and internal teams on the development of marketing materials, website management, and PR initiatives.
  • Monitor and analyse marketing performance metrics, providing reports and recommendations for improvement.

Business Development & Client Engagement:

  • Assist in the development of pitches, proposals, and client presentations, ensuring they align with Wolferstans brand and messaging.
  • Support lawyers and partners in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, including market research and competitor analysis.
  • Coordinate the firms pipeline system, ensuring contacts, and client interactions are recorded and maintained.
  • Assist in planning and delivering client events, webinars, and networking opportunities to strengthen relationships and attract new clients.
  • Collaborate with practice groups to develop BD strategies tailored to specific sectors and legal services.

Events & Sponsorships:

  • Organise and support firm-sponsored conferences, seminars, and networking events, ensuring effective planning, execution, and follow-up.
  • Coordinate attendance and participation in industry events, liaising with event organisers and ensuring maximum visibility for the firm.
  • Assist in managing event budgets and evaluating ROI on sponsorships and marketing spend.

Market Research & Intelligence:

  • Conduct research on industry trends, competitor activity, and client needs to help shape BD and marketing strategies.
  • Monitor legal industry developments and provide insights to partners and fee-earners to support strategic decision-making.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of key client industries and emerging business opportunities.

What do you offer?

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 2 years’ experience in a marketing, business development, or communications role, preferably within a professional services or law firm environment.
  • Experience with digital marketing tools, and event management is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of the legal sector and the ability to work in a partnership environment is desirable but not essential.

  • Commercial awareness - understanding of legal services, the business of law, and key industry trends.
  • Data-driven approach - ability to track and measure marketing effectiveness and use insights to drive improvements.
