Based in Helston, Frugi Organic Clothing company explains how a “Rainbow” pregnancy is a pregnancy following the previous loss of another, as it is something beautiful that follows a storm.
This time can be extremely daunting for the whole family and can be a very difficult concept for children to grasp.
With the help of Frugi’s amazing customers, Kicks Count will be giving support and comfort to families by offering free bundles to expectant mums who have previously suffered the devastating loss of a baby.
Parents expecting a ‘Rainbow Baby’ will receive two beautiful bundles as part of the project.
One will include a Kicks Count wristband to help them monitor their baby’s movements reducing stress and anxiety. Also included will be an “I’ve had a previous stillbirth/neo natal death” antenatal sticker for their notes and most importantly vital information about their baby’s movements’
The second is a sibling bundle which includes a beautifully illustrated copy of the book ‘I Will Always Remember Our Baby’ written by Kicks Count CEO Elizabeth Hutton to help explain baby loss to young children. Also included are two small cuddly teddies – one for the child to look after throughout the pregnancy, the other to give to their newborn brother or sister when they arrive.
These bundles will both be presented in a gorgeous limited edition organic cotton drawstring bag made by Frugi.
The packs are available through bereavement midwives and can also be purchased via the Kicks Count website: www.kickscount.org.uk
