Local lawyer gains ACTAPS accreditation
We are pleased to announce that Catherine Canham, an Associate lawyer in our Disputes and Litigation Team, has been awarded Associate Membership of the Association of Contentious Trust & Probate Specialists (ACTAPS) after successfully completing the Association’s two year membership course.
The Association of Contentious Trust and Probate Specialists (“ACTAPS”) was established in September 1997 for lawyers specialising in contentious trust and probate work. The purpose of membership of ACTAPS is to act as a quality kite mark to demonstrate a lawyer’s experience in this specialist area of the law.
Membership of ACTAPS is only open to those solicitors, barristers and legal executives who specialise in this complex area of the law and who have undertaken and successfully completed both an extensive two year period of study and assessments undertaken on behalf of the Association by the College of Law.
Membership denotes a mark of excellence in the specialist field of law. Catherine is one of a handful of ACTAPS members in the South West.
The quality mark further strengthens our contentious practice, which is able to offer advice on a range of issues including:-
-
Validity claims in respect of Wills
-
Inheritance Act Claims
-
Construction & Rectification of Wills & Trusts
