Positive feedback on Wolferstans Contentious Probate Update seminar
Wolferstans has received universal positive feedback on the Contentious Probate Update seminar that took place on the 20 March. The event was organised in conjunction with St John’s Chambers.
The afternoon started with an introduction from Samantha Buckthought, Partner and Head of Wills and Trust department at Wolferstans followed by four presentations each from St John’s Chambers. The topics that were covered included:
- An overview of Beddoes applications some practical issues that often confronts practitioners.
- Recent developments in the law of proprietary estoppels with the focus on the approach to satisfy the equity.
- An update on the most important contentious probate cases over the last 12 months.
- Including the removing of trustees and PRs.
Those who attended commented how topical and well organised the seminar was, and what an excellent opportunity it was for lawyers working in the same field to meet and discuss relevant issues.
Wolferstans hope that this will be the first of many such seminars. Samantha Buckthought commented ‘We were very privileged to secure the services of specialist barristers from ST Johns Chambers, and for our team to work with such like minded, well recognised experts in the field.’
