Wolferstans 2012 Project raised £10,400 for Jeremiah's Journey

Wolferstans welcomed local charity Jeremiah’s Journey to the North Hill office on the 1 August 2012. As part of Wolferstans 200 years celebrations Jeremiah’s Journey  was chosen to be the third charity to benefit from the the Wolferstans 2012 Project.

The support throughout May and June was overwhelming. The events that took place within the two months have raised a significant amount of money reaching the total of £10,400!

This amount of money will truly help Jeremiah’s Journey to continue to provide the best support that they can for bereaved children and their families. Louise Orchard visited Wolferstans North Hill office on the 1 August 2012 to receive the cheque on behalf of Jeremiah's Journey.

Joanne Anning, CEO of Jeremiah's Journey said "We are delighted that Wolferstans have raised over £10,000 for our charity, Jeremiah's Journey. It is an amazing amount of money for us to receive particularly as we are completely self funded. This donation will help to provide a secure base from which we can provide support to the bereaved children who need it. We see an estimate of 200 children each year, who have lost someone significant in their lives. I know that the staff at Wolferstans put an enormous amount of effort in to raising the fund. I was very pleased to be able to cheer on those who ran the Plymouth Half Marathon; they certainly looked good in their Jeremiah's Journey vests!  The challenge for us as a small local organisation is to think of new ways to raise money whilst having fun, I think the Wolferstans team have achieved that and probably exhausted themselves in the process!"

Wolferstans would like to say a big thank you to all those who have helped us to raise this amount of money.
