Emma is a Solicitor in the Wills and Trusts department, advising clients predominantly in relation to Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney and the administration of estates.
After obtaining an LLB law degree at Cardiff University Emma went on to complete the Legal Practice Course at Plymouth University. Emma undertook her training contract with Wolferstans and qualified as a Solicitor in 2016. Since qualifying Emma has been a Team Leader within the Wills team assisting with the supervision of fee earners, paralegals and support staff.
Emma has significant experience advising and supporting elderly and vulnerable clients having previously specialised in mental health and mental capacity law. She now spends the majority of her time drafting Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney and administering estates. She also assists clients with Declarations of Trusts, General Powers of Attorney, Deeds of Variations and registering Enduring Powers of Attorney. Emma’s experience in the private client field is broad and includes advising clients on complex specialist trust Wills and estates liable to inheritance tax.
Emma is an associate member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and is due to qualify as a full STEP member in 2018.
In her spare time Emma enjoys a number of outdoor pursuits including running, cycling and skiing.
