James heads up the Business Services Department at Wolferstans; he is an employment law and education specialist who acts for both employers and employees in relation to all aspects of employment law.
James is an experienced Tribunal advocate but spends the majority of his time delivering employment law support to businesses and schools throughout Devon and Cornwall. James’ client base ranges from individuals and small businesses to some of the largest Multi Academy Trusts and employers in Devon and Cornwall.
In addition to providing day to day employment law support, James specialises in cases involving theft of confidential information and breaches of restrictive covenants. Cases involving employees setting up in competition or working for a competitor require specialist advice; James has experience of the High Court processes, tactics and risks involved.
James completed his law degree at Plymouth University before undertaking his Legal Practice Course at Bristol UWE. He qualified as a solicitor during 2008 and was promoted to Partner in 2013. James is also a member of the Employment Lawyers’ Association.
Outside of work, James “was” a keen sportsman, and still manages to play football and cricket (just) when not occupied by his two sons.
