Julie is an expert in all areas of the law relating to children including care proceedings, adoption, secure accommodation and the representation of parents and children in private law proceedings.
A member of Resolution and the Association of Lawyers for Children, she is a vastly experienced advocate who spends a high proportion of her time representing clients in court.
Julie is also a member of the Law Society’s Children Panel, comprising solicitors with specialist experience in the law relating to children. She has been recognized as a notable practitioner by Chambers Guide to the legal Profession since 1997, Chambers 2018 says of Julie ““Julie Shrimpton is acknowledged for her public law children work, for which she enjoys a healthy reputation. She is active advising on adoptions, secure accommodation issues and care proceedings.”
Outside of work Julie enjoys travel, skiing, gym, the theatre, music and art.
