Rebecca works as a Trainee Legal Executive in the Wills & Trusts Department and is based at our Plymstock office
Rebecca graduated from the University of the West of England with an LLB Law degree in July 2013 and started working with us in October 2013. Rebecca has had several roles at Wolferstans and started in the Wills & Trust Department in early 2014 as a Legal Assistant/Paralegal. Rebecca has since completed the CILEx Graduate Diploma with a merit and distinction and will have realised the period of qualifying employment required to become a Fellow of CILEx in January 2019.
Rebecca regularly advises clients on Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Probate applications and Estate administration and has done so since January 2017. Rebecca has a case load of 80+ matters at any given time, however, she works closely with Caroline Pellow, a solicitor at the Plymstock office who has been qualified since 2010.
Rebecca is always keen to work with and support local charities and organisations and has arranged many events and several free drop-in clinics for members of the public and service users, including those specifically aimed at Carers. Rebecca is a Dementia Champion and a Compassionate Friend, and she is currently involved with a project to make Plymouth a more compassionate city.
Rebecca’s relevant experience is: advising clients with children from previous marriages or relationships in relation to Property Trust Wills ; administering the estate of someone who has passed away on behalf of beneficiaries, including Charities; applying for Grants of Probate for estates, including applying for the Grant to be re-sealed in another jurisdiction so that assets held there can be administered and advising Clients in relation to care homes fees and deprivation of assets legislation.
In her spare time, Rebecca enjoys venturing outdoors, visiting new places and spending time with her friends and family.
