Caroline Pellow

Senior Associate, Solicitor

Caroline qualified as a solicitor in 2010. She attended the University of Leicester and studied law and went on to complete her Legal Practice Course with distinction at the College of Law in Guildford.

Having first spent time at Allen & Overy in London, Caroline went on to complete her training contract at a large, regional firm with a number of offices based in South East, England. Focussing on private client practice since qualifying, Caroline joined Wolferstans in 2014 when she returned to the South West with her young family.

Caroline deals with probate applications and has administered more than 100 estates, many of them complex. She also advises clients in relation to Lasting Powers of Attorney and capacity matters, as well as specialising in drafting Wills – often those including trusts and with inheritance tax planning.

Based in our Plymstock office, Caroline is Team Leader and supervises the junior members of the team. Having grown up in the South Hams, Caroline is a trusted advisor to many local families and much of her new work comes from previous clients recommending her.

Caroline’s experience is extensive and covers the following aspects; preparation of Wills for couples with family businesses, including advice on passing business assets to children to maximise the available inheritance tax relief; specialist Wills with trust advice for disabled and vulnerable beneficiaries; administration of large estates with complex claims for inheritance tax relief and preparation of deeds of variation to mitigate inheritance tax and to redirect legacies.

In her spare time, Caroline runs around after her toddler and occasionally even manages to fit in a run around the block too.
