Kate Morden

Trainee Legal Executive

Kate is a Trainee Legal Executive and is currently studying to complete her qualification as a Member of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives.

Kate has been working in the area of Law since the age of 17 at her local High Street firm. She subsequently completed her degree in History from the University of the West of England and previously worked as a Claimant and Defendant personal injury lawyer for a national firm in Bristol and Plymouth for 7 years, before joining our Medical Negligence Department in 2015.

Kate joined the Medical Negligence Department to assist Partner Barry Bayley with his cases. Barry specialises in complex and catastrophic injuries such as:

  • Children and young adults with Cerebral Palsy
  • Birthing Injuries such as Erbs Palsy and Hip Dysplasia
  • Acquired Brain Injuries
  • Spinal Cord Compressions and Cauda Equina
  • Meningitis
  • Primary Immunodeficiency Conditions
  • Delay in diagnosis of cancer

Since working on these complex cases Kate has appreciated the very real day to day struggles our client’s experience and strives to ensure their client’s feel heard and understood. These life changing injuries impact families in their entirety and require a level of professionalism, empathy but also a personal rapport. Complex cases such as birth injuries can take years to settle and so a good relationship between Barry, Kate and their clients is very important to them.
