Laura Thompson

Associate, Solicitor

Laura is an experienced Solicitor in our Wills and Trusts department, having joined the firm in November 2018. Laura was promoted to Associate in August 2021.

Laura obtained her LLB at Keele University in 2004 and went on to complete her Legal Practice Course at the University of Law in Chester in 2005.

She began her career in the law working in personal injury and clinical negligence.

Laura qualified as a Chartered Legal Executive before being admitted as a Solicitor in October 2011.

Following a change of career direction and relocation to the West Country in 2017, Laura now specialises in Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, probate applications as well as administering estates and trusts. Her experience is wide-ranging and includes assisting with Inheritance Tax planning, Deeds of Variation, Declarations of Trust and the registration of Enduring Powers of Attorney.

Laura is a full accredited member of Solicitors for the Elderly (SFE) and a full member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP).

In her spare time, Laura enjoys Pilates and exploring the local area with her family and their dog.
