Linda specialises in Personal Injury litigation, including road traffic accident claims, accidents at work, slips and trips and other cases that do not fall into any one particular category. Linda regularly concludes high value claims involving complex liability issues.
Linda qualified in 1989 and joined Wolferstans in the same year. She has been a partner since 1996.
A member of our Armed Forces team, Linda has a particular interest in injuries which are attributable to military service and claims where service careers have been affected or cut short by accident and injury, however this may have occurred. Linda has extensive experience in claims against the MOD including injuries sustained during training and injuries at sea. Her knowledge of service pay, specialist pay and allowances, service benefits, the impact of medical downgrade on promotion and procedures for medical discharge, is particularly valuable in achieving favourable results for her clients. Linda regularly advises on the reasons for pursuing a personal injury claim alongside any claim under the Armed Forces Compensation Scheme and the advantages of doing so.
Linda attends regular training on issues relevant to military claims. This includes attending the APIL Military Claims Conference and training with Forces Law. Linda has a network of contacts able to provide expert evidence and help tailored to serving personnel, veterans and their families.
Linda is a member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL).
Outside the office, Linda enjoys reading, walking in the countryside around her South Hams home, good food and wine, and attending the gym occasionally.
