Sam Mills

Chartered Legal Executive

Sam is a Chartered Legal Executive representing medical negligence claimants under the supervision of Head of Department Elizabeth Smith.

Sam graduated from the University of Plymouth in 2007 with a degree in English Literature, and qualified as a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives in 2017. Prior to joining the Medical Negligence Department in 2018 he had over eight years’ experience dealing with personal injury claimants for a national law firm. Upon joining Wolferstans he initially assisted colleagues with a variety of complex claims before advancing to managing his own cases.

Sam has a compassionate and sensitive approach when guiding his clients through the process of making a claim, understanding that claims often arise from traumatic circumstances. He aims to make this process as straightforward and stress free as possible, by keeping in regular contact and making himself available to discuss any concerns his clients may have.

In addition to his day to day responsibilities Sam is a member of the department’s social media team, running the twitter feed @MedNeg_Wolfies once a week, and helping to promote charitable events such as Orchid’s Male Cancer Awareness Week and Baby Loss Awareness Week. He has also written several articles for our website responding to recent events in the news, including articles on Group B Strep infection and brain haemorrhages.

Outside of work Sam keeps active with long distance running, and playing football and squash. Sam also enjoys spending time with his family, drawing, reading, and watching live music.
