Vicky Furzeland

Legal Assistant

Vicky is a Legal Assistant in the Court of Protection Team at Wolferstans.

Vicky has a BA Honours Degree in English Literature and has worked in the legal profession since leaving university in 2003. She has worked in Conveyancing, Matrimonial and Wills and Trust but since 2014 has been in the Court of Protection Team.

As a Legal Assistant in the Court of Protection Team, she manages a small case load of clients who lack capacity to manage their own property and financial affairs as well as preparing applications to the Court of Protection to appoint Property and Financial Affairs Deputies and completing the Annual Reports. She also assists Lay Deputies once they have been appointed as Property and Affairs Deputies with general advice and help.

Outside of work Vicky enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters and if time permits, reading a good book.

What Vicky's Clients Say

“I felt fully reassured and at ease dealing with Vicky, she kept me fully up to date with proceedings, used clear language that I understood, took the time to explain never seeming rushed or hurried. The whole process worked well for me, Vicky would communicate effectively and efficiently by email which was my preferred method and I was never left waiting for an answer. She communicated with me periods of annual leave and who to contact in her absence. She understood my case was sensitive to me and dealt with this with an empathetic manner, giving both practical and legal advice.

The whole process for me was faultless and I would absolutely have no hesitation in recommending Vicky, she is an absolute asset to the organisation. It is such a shame that you don’t have an office closer to where I live.”

Mrs G

“We were grateful and pleased with the advice and support received from Vicky Furzeland in a situation of complexity and great difficulty thrust upon us. We have been treated by Vicky with respect, understanding and kindness each time we had contact with her. She has lifted and reduced much of the anxiety and concern with the situation we are facing. She is a great asset to Wolferstans. Thank you.”

It made all the difference knowing somebody was on my side and I don’t think I would have ever got anywhere arguing the case on my own.
