Defence ERS Gold Award Revalidated
Wolferstans LLP are honoured and delighted to have been recognised for re-validation of the Defence Employment Recognition Scheme Gold Award.
The Defence ERS Scheme encourages employers to support defence people and, in doing so, inspire others to do the same. The Gold Award recognises the commitment made by an employer to support defence people and ensures that, amongst other things, the employer demonstrates forces-friendly credentials, advertises recruitment with organisations such as Forces Families Jobs, supports the employment of reservists and is an exemplar within their market sector.
Wolferstans first pledged their Armed Forces Covenant in 2015 and renewed that pledge in early 2022. We are a forces-friendly employer offering additional leave to reservists and to our colleagues on the reserve recruitment journey.
Senior Partner, Phillip Thorneycroft, said of the Award, “Since signing the Covenant 7 years ago, supporting defence people has enabled us to embrace our armed forces community. From employing veterans, Armed Forces spouses and encouraging our staff to consider reserve opportunities, to getting involved in community events and fundraising, we pledge to continue developing our support to those who have given so much for the society we live in today”.

Receiving our Gold Award in 2017 was amazing, but to be re-validated 5 years later demonstrates the tireless commitment that Wolferstans have shown over time and is, therefore, maybe even more rewarding. The entire Wolferstans team makes this happen, and as a Veteran, I thank them all”.
