Disputes Team Goes From Strength To Strength

Wolferstans are delighted to further strengthen their Disputes and Litigation team with the addition of Alex Jeffery, solicitor, who joins us from a Top 10 Global Offshore Law firm.

Alex has a wealth of experience dealing with complex high value trust and shareholder disputes together with property and professional negligence claims.

Alex joins the team at a time of expansion within the department; the team was boosted in 2016 with the appointment of two experienced litigation solicitors, David Scarrott and Julian Burrows. David has considerable property litigation experience and joined from a well known regional firm where he practised for 15 years. Julian completed his Masters in Law at the University of New South Wales, and worked as a civil litigator in Sydney, Australia for 14 years, before returning to his native Plymouth.

They join Nicola Mitchell-Rodd, Chartered Legal Executive, who has several years experience dealing with a wide range of Dispute Resolution work. Nicola’s expertise includes debt recovery, landlord and tenant, contentious probate and trust disputes.

The Disputes and Litigation team can offer a full service for personal and business disputes, advisory work, negotiation, litigation, and mediation. The team take a practical, outcome focussed approach to the early resolution of claims where applicable, but are equally at home in Court should the need arise.

James Twine, Head of Business Services commented “We are delighted to welcome Alex to what is a rapidly growing and successful team. The team has gone from strength to strength over the previous 18 months securing new clients and repeat business as a direct consequence of achieving consistently strong results which have often surpassed client expectations. As a firm we are proud to be able to boast one of, if not the, strongest disputes teams in the City.”
