Road Safety Week 18-24 November – Beep! Beep! Day

The Brain Injury Group, a national network of specialist brain injury solicitors and support services, are linking up with local primary schools to run a Beep! Beep! Day focused on road safety.   This is designed to teach children about the importance of road safety.

As members of the Brain Injury Group, Wolferstans have nominated St Budeaux Foundation Junior School.

The Brain Injury Group will be running the Beep! Beep! Day at the St Budeaux Foundation School on 22 November 2013.  To help the children think about road safety, they have been asked to paint pictures on the theme of road safety.   Andrew Warlow, Partner and Head of the Serious Injuries Team at Wolferstans will be attending on the day and will judge the pictures and choose the winner who will receive a £10 gift voucher.

Road Safety Week is a national campaign co-ordinated by Brake, a road safety charity. Their theme this year is “Tune in to road safety” to highlight the number of accidents caused through driver and pedestrian distractions eg listening to music, or talking on a mobile phone.

The Personal Injury Team at Wolferstans act for many clients who have been involved in road traffic accidents and see the devastation that they can cause for individuals and their families.

Andrew Warlow, Head of the Serious Injuries Team at Wolferstans says  “With so many distractions in this day and age for both drivers and pedestrians, especially with the increased use of smart phones and headphones etc, it is vital that we make sure our children understand the potential dangers when crossing the road.
