We are looking for a talented, confident Employment Solicitor with two or more years of PQE who wants to take the next stage in their career.
You’ll be keen to work with a notable range of clients and deal with a varied caseload that includes both contentious and non-contentious employment issues, and you’ll be happy to act for both employees and employers.
You’ll cover many other aspects of Employment Law including tribunal work and TUPE issues and also provide support to a large number of schools in the region. Our teams liaise closely internally, and you’ll be expected to support and contribute to the provision of an all-round service to our business clients.
We are happy to consider a wide range of candidates, from those who have recently qualified, to Lawyers with several years of post-qualification experience (PQE).
We are looking for somebody who is highly IT literate, personable and confident to give on the spot advice by telephone or to tight deadlines. The ability to maintain and develop good client relationships is key and you will be expected to participate in the department’s marketing activities.
The ideal candidate will have:
Conducted work that includes advising employers (non-contentious work)
Involvement in running cases in Employment Tribunals, although we do not expect you to conduct you own advocacy
Superlative communication skills, being able to work as a team player and autonomously
Experience of advising schools would be highly advantageous but not essential
Professional and positive work attitude
Modern IT Skills
Strong organisational skill with excellent attention to detail
Commitment to the firm and the ability to provide a confident and positive input when required.
